Activists demand Shell to halt its climate wrecking activities

Today Milieudefensie/Friends of the Earth Netherlands launched a groundbreaking new campaign. Shell is destroying the climate so we are taking them to court. Friends of the Earth International and many groups across the federation are supporting this legal action to stopping the company from polluting the planet. 

We need your help to make this campaign big:
– Help us spread the word today via social media using hashtag #stopShell (example tweets at the end of this e-mail)
– Add your name to support the case against Shell by signing the support statement and ask your supporters to sign it as well!
– If you are a Dutch citizen, join our case as co-plaintiff 

Shell has known for over 30 years that its business model causes catastrophic climate change and instead of taking action, Shell has misled the public on climate change and it continues to oppose effective climate policies around the globe.

Shell claims that it supports the Paris Agreement, but instead it continues to drill for more oil and gas. Find out more about the activities of Shell in your country on Shellwatch.nl

Today we are demanding Shell to put a halt to its climate wrecking activities. We give them eight weeks to respond to our demands. You can find  the letter we send to Shell today here
