Please note that our next OMCJ meeting which will take place on Tuesday, 21 May 2019 (9:30-12:30) at 129 Rochester Road, Observatory!

The overarching topic of this meeting will be urban greening and reforestation in and around Cape Town. We’ll have representatives from Abalimi Bezekhaya, a Cape Town based development organization that promotes small scale urban farming. By providing training, supplies and support, Abalimi Bezekhaya enables members of local communities to obtain employment or become self-employed as gardeners, gardening assistants and urban micro-farmers. We will also be joined by Misha Teasdale. He is the founder of Greenpop, an award-winning non-profit organization on a mission to restore ecosystems, spread environmental awareness, and activate people through green festivals and workshops across Southern Africa.

We hope that you will be able to join us for a morning of inspiring talks, lively discussion and concrete climate action!

A detailed agenda will be circulated in due course.
