AIDC’s Solidarity Centre is a place for people who are working for social justice, equality and a new culture that puts human needs first. Through its programs and events, the Solidarity Centre brings people together across social and cultural boundaries and artistic and academic disciplines to promote critical analysis, creative thinking, collaborative projects and networking in an independent community-level environment. Throughout the year, the Solidarity Centre offers a wide-ranging program of classes, public lectures and seminars and popular education workshops. These activities are developed in collaboration with the many social movements and popular organisations. The programs bring together leading intellectuals, activists and artists from Cape Town, across South Africa, and internationally.
The Solidarity is a good size Workshop or Meeting Room that is available for hire.
For Workshops and Conferencing, it can seat up to 40 people around tables. For bigger meetings, it can seat 100 people on chairs only.
A white board and data project is available at no extra cost. A flip chart board is also available.
